When the crew club members had an immediate need to travel to Philadelphia for a national regatta, Andrew went in search of a fundraising idea and Googled the term, ‘college fundraising’ and soon found the leaders in college group fundraising, CampusFundraiser. Describing the Family and Friends magazine program as “very easy and extremely lucrative”, Jennifer was initially turned on by a program that was both simple and free. And though group members were initially overwhelmed by the prospect of selling magazine subscriptions, they relaxed once they saw how easily attainable the sales goals were. Working with our coaches and “the kind staff that were there if you had any questions”, Jennifer’s group got enthusiastic about finishing what they’d set out to do.
