It is tough to be a dancer. You have to dress well, be in fantastic shape and work, work and work to be perfect. Add school to the mix and it is safe to say that there is little time left over for fundraising. Fairfield University Dance Team

Fairfield University

The Fairfield University Dance Team needed to raise money to compete in the 2006 UDA Nationals in Orlando Florida, the problem - $15,000!  Determined to compete at the national level, the team joined forces.  “We needed a great deal of money in a short amount of time and hearing all the success stories of the other schools we were more than willing to try.”  “PLUS the fact that the fundraiser was not at ANY expense to us made it easy to sign up” Jeannette explains.

After a lot of preparation and support from CampusFundraiser the Fairfield University Dance Team were able to raise $1,184 in just 4 hours! That brings their total earnings to date to $2,884. Of course the money that was earned will be put into their account, helping with competition, nationals and preparing for next year.  “CampusFundraiser was very encouraging, professional and nice” Jeannette happily adds!

Illini Dance Team

University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

Group leader and first year team secretary Lindsay Wodarski, explains the Illini Dance Team’s dilemma: “We are a completely student run/self-funded team and we must raise enough money to cover all expenses to be able to compete at the College Cheer and Dance Championships in Orlando, FL.”

So when it came time to raise money the girls knew it meant clinics, bake sales and lots of car washes, until Lindsay suggested CampusFundraiser. She tells us about her experience, “[Working with] CampusFundraiser seemed like a really easy way to earn money and was one of the only options out there really.” She also tells us “CampusFundraiser worked in close communication with us and were always there to answer any questions I had. They not only told me what I needed to do but gave me tips on how to be successful at it.” As for the other 19 group members “They were grateful that it didn't take up too much of their time or effort.”

The team must have also been grateful that they all got new costumes with their $1,500 that they earned for successfully completing the Sell ‘3’ Magazine program.
