The IU Dance Marathon at Indiana University is a group that takes fundraising, compassion and enthusiasm to an entirely new level. 

“Dance Marathon is an organization with a fundraising problem,” says Molly Giles, team leader, “We love to fundraise and no amount of money is too little.”  Not only does the group of 20 raise money for Riley Hospital for Children, but they also keep some cases very close to their hearts. After losing a member of the Executive Council to a tragic accident, the group does everything in their power to raise more funds in memory of the passion their teammate Ashley felt for their organization.  Giles says, “Last year we raised $677,415.19 and this year we have set our goals even higher!”

This enthusiasm brought them to CampusFundraiser when the group was looking for a new and refreshing way to earn funds. “I thought it would be good to try something a little new and different. We always do the same old fundraisers and it was about time to change things up,” says Giles. “My group loves to fundraise, so everyone was so excited to get involved.” Well, calling CampusFundraiser may have been the ticket. Scheduling two events back to back with group leaders Molly Giles and Allison Maddox, the group ending up raising over $4,000!

CampusFundraiser helped Dance Marathon through the process from start to finish. “CampusFundraiser provided Dance Marathon with all of the tools necessary to hold one of the most successful fundraisers we have had in a long time. Everyone was so positive and did everything in their power to help us reach our goals.”

With the funds they’ve raised, Dance Marathon will uphold their philanthropy in the tradition they’ve always done. They will donate the money to the Riley Center for Children, and more specifically to the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center. Dance Marathon created the disease center and has since kept it sustained.
