The women of URI’s Alpha Delta Pi sleep pretty well at night, knowing their finances are solid AND they’ve helped save a life.
It started out simply enough when a friend of the house talked of his efforts to raise money to help teenager Danielle Augestine pay for her bone cancer surgery. Though none of them were personally acquainted with Danielle, all the sisters recognized a worthy cause when they saw it. They huddled on ways to raise big bucks quickly, focusing on the obvious advantages of CampusFundraiser’s fundraising programs and ideas.
By now these advantages are legend on college campuses nationwide, including:
- No up-front costs or risks
- A wealth of potential bonuses
- Fantastic service
- Top-notch guidance for even the most inexperienced fundraiser
Group leader Jenna Garson was about as inexperienced as they came when this fundraising program first evolved. “This was the first fundraiser I ever ran” she admits. “When I found out about all the possibilities of fundraising events for our house from CampusFundraiser, I volunteered to organize one.”
“My group was looking to earn as much money as we possibly could. We were all very determined to earn all the bonuses and do our best within the given amount of time.”
That’s where the top-notch guidance came into play. “I was lucky to have extremely helpful managers dealing with our event. Our fundraising manager flew in to help us stay organized and motivated, doing everything possible to enable us to earn every possible bonus dollar.
Jenna nearly bubbles over as she adds; “The whole process was easy, organized, fun and extremely rewarding in the end! The actual event took just a few hours!”
The women of Alpha Delta Pi earned so much money that they don’t know what to do with it all. “We were more than happy to help the Augestine family in their time of need” reports Jenna, noting the rest of the funds are destined for use on formals and sprucing up the house. “The big debate” she tells us “is whether to get general supplies, a new couch, toasters and microwaves, or a stereo.” Of course, with the sophomore’s plans to run another CampusFundraiser program in the fall, they’ll probably be able to do all those things…and more.
If your group is looking for a fundraising idea for your college group; CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
