"It would have taken months for our fundraising committee to put a fundraiser of this caliber together by ourselves."
Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity University of Portland Fundraising Success with CampusFundraiser

Leigh Boone knows all there is it know about fundraising programs and various college fundraising ideas.

Tasked with keeping money coming in to her chapter of this national professional business fraternity, she understands how difficult it is to create a financially attractive fundraiser without making a serious financial investment – something she was in no position to do.

“Our past fundraisers took a lot of time with minimal payoff” Leigh recalls. “It was difficult to get all, or even a significant portion, of the members excited about taking a few hours out of their week to work on a fundraiser.” The group’s most successful fundraising event prior to working with CampusFundraiser netted them just $400, helping to dampen enthusiasm even further.

Determined to increase their return on labor invested, Leigh searched for professional help that promised to deliver and had a reputation for keeping the promise. She decided to work with CampusFundraiser.

“The program made it very easy, from the initial information and training meeting, to the set-up of teams, to the collection of forms.” Says Leigh. “Everything was planned and well thought out. The program allows the right amount of guidance paired with our own chapter’s hard work, to make the fundraiser successful.”

Leigh didn’t even have to sell the program very hard to her friends. “Everyone was excited to sell and make money for the chapter. The process of the fundraiser brought a greater sense of brotherhood to all of them members. Everyone had a hand in the fundraiser’s success.”

With 55% more money in hand than they originally set out to raise, Leigh’s friends were suddenly faced with an unexpectedly difficult question: “What do we do with all this extra money?” “The majority of the money went to paying for our regional convention fees, transportation and lodging. We are also paying to send 31 members to Reno this month.”

CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
