"The fundraising process was pretty painless."
Alpine Ski Team Michigan State University Fundraising Success with CampusFundraiser

Time for a pop quiz:

Q.         How does a student group do lots of cool stuff and keep down club dues? (choose one)

1)  Ask Dad for an increase in your allowance

2)  Play Monopoly with real money

3)  Set up a kazoo band on the street corner

4)  Work with Campus Fundraiser

5)  Cross your fingers and hope money falls out of the sky

Whitney Gordon has chosen D as the correct answer for a great fundraising idea, and gets to sleep in this weekend for making the right choice.

Whitney, who leads the Michigan State Alpine Ski Team in their fundraising efforts, was recently faced with just such a challenge. Recognizing that the university doesn’t fund club sports and with limited resources (and absolutely no previous fundraising experience!), she knew she and her friends would need help. Lots of help.

“I chose to work with CampusFundraiser because it seemed pretty easy and the rewards were potentially pretty big and fast” Whitney now tells us. “And they helped our fundraiser be successful by providing me with little tips to get team members involved in the fundraising process.”

Anyone who has raised funds knows that member involvement is critical, so that assistance really turned the trick for the skiers. Now with an extra $2,200 in their bank account, the team will be buying at least one extra lift ticket for each racer. And that’s not even counting the huge banquet they’re planning for year-end. Not bad for just a few days of hard work. WELL DONE, GUYS!

CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
