There aren't many college students who like to talk about insurance. Then again, the guys at Delta Kappa Epsilon aren't like most college students.
After all, Dekes are the house that gave the world five U.S. presidents (Hayes, Roosevelt, Ford, and both Bushes). They're an organization that touts itself as "The first step towards becoming a part of our great heritage and towards building a foundation on the beliefs of true friendship, brotherly love, democracy, tradition, scholarship, respect, tolerance, and gentlemanliness."
Unfortunately, they're also an organization without a great fundraising track record. You know the story - male/female auctions, bake sales, carwashes. the whole schmear. Lots of work, not much payoff.
"We went with CampusFundraiser because they were so organized and it seemed like a great fundraiser idea. They also appealed to us with so many bonuses just for setting up the fundraiser. And our CampusFundraiser rep did an awesome job training us on how to network and make the most of the time we had."
Still, one has to wonder how much a dozen guys can do within three hours, right?
"All of the guys were really excited and energetic about this fundraiser, which is rare because they usually don't put much effort into other fundraisers. Even when it was pouring rain outside, they were still busting their butts signing people up."
Which helps explain how they raised almost $200 each!
"The experience with CampusFundraiser was an excellent one." says Matt, before adding "I would recommend it to anyone and we definitely plan on organizing another fundraiser with your company."
It's good to hear, Matt. We had fun working with you, too, and are looking forward to doing the next one soon.
So what's with the insurance? Well, it seems all that money had to go to help pay the annual insurance policy for the DKE house. Hey - guys - can we come to the next party?
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
