“The idea of making $2,000 in only 3 days was enough to get the brothers to do their part and sell, sell, sell” says Scott Herzing when asked of his group’s recent success with CampusFundraiser. For a fraternity geared towards business matters, the return on investment (ROI) from a CampusFundraiser program versus some of their past efforts was almost irresistible.
“In the fall we held a raffle that made only about $200” Scott continues. “Our fundraisers usually involve things like sales and raffles held outside our school cafeteria.” And while some of those programs have had moderate success, “they can be very frustrating because of all the hard work and long hours put into preparing them. And in the end profits generally aren’t very high and that just leads to disappointment.”
The brothers all knew they needed some new fundraising ideas to shake things up a bit. There was the usual debate about what to do. “They hesitated because most of them aren’t big fans of being salesmen. Still, after a bit of coaxing they saw this as a great opportunity to make some quick, easy and serious cash. It was impossible for us to turn it down.”
And the nicest part? “CampusFundraiser made earning the money we needed painless. My fundraising manager was very nice and very willing to help me. Everything was laid out so simply. CampusFundraiser provided me with a bunch of motivation techniques, but the biggest motivator of all for us was the reality that doing one fundraiser with you guys meant we wouldn’t have to do any other fundraisers the entire semester!”
“Look” Scott tells us “generally we need to do three or more fundraisers each semester. It takes us weeks of hard work to earn a fraction of what we were able to make through CampusFundraiser in just a few short days! You guys made my job much easier.”
Some of the money has already gone to help pay for a formal held at Niagara Falls, where “the ticket prices were kept low because of the money we earned through CampusFundraiser.” The rest continues to gather interest in the bank as the group prepares for the next semester. But thanks to those few days of hard work, the brothers of the Mu Pi chapter won’t have to start sweating the money the moment they first hit campus.
