Not every group working with CampusFundraiser requires money to cover a super special project. Sometimes the money is needed for everyday activities.
That’s the position Jamie Milledge and the gang at Georgia Southern University’s Delta Sigma Pi found themselves in recently. As a business fraternity, they probably keep a closer eye on finances than most groups. And they immediately knew that, with normal operating expenses adding up and the fall semester initiation upon them, they needed to come up with a thousand bucks fast.
Jamie and her cohorts had tried a host of programs in the past – raffles, bake sales, campus entertainment events…you name it. “None of them raised anywhere near $1,000” Jamie recalled. Enter CampusFundraiser’s Family and Friends magazine program.
“It seemed like an easy fundraising idea” Jamie says of the decision to work with us. “Also I liked the fact that you specialize in groups like ours.” It was our expertise in student groups that made the Epsilon Chi chapter so successful so quickly. “They gave us all the materials that we needed; we just had to sell them.” Jamie reports.
But providing materials is only half the battle, with labor and enthusiasm the other half. Asked if they won that part of the battle, Jamie laughs and says; “Our group members were excited about the profit that we stood to make”.
The semester is now over with 1/3 more money raised than was originally anticipated. Initiation and other chapter obligations have been paid for. And Jamie Milledge is much more relaxed about money since that check arrived, knowing where to turn should things get tight again.
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
