Every college student knows music is the first priority. So when the gang at Penn State’s Kappa Alpha found themselves sans stereo (and paying $200 a pop for happy hour DJs), they immediately turned to CampusFundraiser’s Family and Friends program for help.
“It seemed easy to do” explains Joe Chiodo of the program’s appeal. And with absolutely no fundraising experience of their own to fall back on, easy was what these guys needed more than anything.
The CampusFundraiser team immediately took charge, providing all the information, structure, advice and counselors needed for Kappa Alpha to do it up right. This helped Joe sell the program to a group that was decidedly mixed in their willingness to participate. “Only some of us were excited to do the fundraiser” he says now, while others worked on it “because they had to.”
Of course, now that they’ve earned enough to buy a snazzy new stereo system (and after netting 40% more than they originally set out to raise), they’re all positive about the whole CampusFundraiser experience. “It works well” says Joe, who was satisfied enough to set up a second program with us.
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
