“We have a lot of events during the year that we fundraise for,” remarked Catherine Slack of Kappa Beta Gamma. The Sisters of Kappa Beta Gamma, after all, have dedicated themselves to improving their members and the world by maintaining upstanding morals, social skills, and intellectual applications.

And that doesn’t even begin to take into account their philanthropic endeavors, such as:

·                     Providing undergraduate sisters with money for books and tuition

·                     Donating time and talent to the AIDS Foundation

·                     Participating in a variety of community and school charity projects

With so much hard work constantly before them, the sisters can be forgiven for wanting to use some of the money they raise to have a little fun. And so it was decided to use most of the money raised this past spring towards the formal.

“We figured it would be a huge challenge for us, since we usually do a bunch of little things for raising money” Catherine tells us. “We had never made lots of money at one time, and I wanted very much to change that.” Especially since the last event they’d done earned a paltry $300.

“We had never gone through an organization like yours before. Some of our members were a little hesitant, thinking there was no way they could sell their three magazines each. But the idea of working with CampusFundraiser, without any commitment on our part, was a real no-brainer.” she writes.

They provided a really good outline of what we were supposed to do and how to handle any situations that might arise. Then I told my group that failure wasn’t an option and that I wasn’t going to listen to excuses. In the end everyone did a GREAT job! This was SUCH an easy way to earn money, and it helped pull us together by getting everyone involved.”

“And here’s the best part” she smiles. “We wanted to raise $1,000, and we made almost $2,200!” Now THAT’s something to celebrate!
