Money isn’t everything around Texas Tech’s Kappa Delta Chi. For these women with a focus on the minority community, promoting the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership are the most important concept to get their arms around.
Still, they know that money is important if they want to give out scholarships to members and provide service to the community. They have also learned how frustrating it can be to raise money doing car washes and candle sales. Frustrating, and a poor return on their investment.
Enter CampusFundraiser to make their lives easier.
“The fundraiser was highly organized and understandable” reports Alpha chapter VP Nora Larez. “I never worried about getting questions answered, knowing there was guidance readily available from the team at CampusFundraiser’s office.”
What drives a group like this? Dedication to helping others. And with a national foundation helping both the American Cancer Society and educational scholarships, it’s easy to see a lot of people get helped by Kappa Delta Chi’s efforts. Though the group was a bit overwhelmed with the prospect of raising 12 times the money as their previous fundraiser, “everyone met their goal” Nora tells us.
With results like that, Nora and her sisters are actively living their organizational goals to “recognize the need to correct the educational, economic and social injustices faced by the Latino community.” They’re recognizing the problem, and doing something about fixing it!
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
