The Men’s Rugby Club at the University of Missouri-Columbia know the true meaning of the phrase ‘tried and true.’ The 28 members of the Rugby Club had had success with CampusFundraiser in the past.   “This is actually our second time doing the program and both times our team has raised a minimum of $2000,” says team leader Joe Bollinger.  (Actually the group has earned a total of $4,495 with CampusFundraiser!) The team had tried other means of raising money in the past. “This fundraiser is easier and faster than any other fundraisers we’ve tried. We tried to sell t-shirts but made just a little money. CampusFundraiser is where the big money is,” Bollinger says.

Not only did the $2,095 they earned from this fundraiser help the team earn the travel funds they needed, but it was an aid to creating new relationships within the campus world.  Bollinger explains that the experience was fun, while giving their team a new voice on campus. “By going around and talking to students we raised money AND built our fan base.”

Teamwork was a foundation for the success of the program. “CampusFundraiser gave us the support and organization we needed to make this successful. They have a reputation for being easy to work with and for giving you the opportunity to make a lot of money in a very short amount of time,” notes Bollinger.

The team has placed their earnings into a travel fund.  They will use it to pay for travel and lodging at their national tournament. Looks like the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Men’s Rugby Club is on the road to success.
