"I LOVE CampusFundraiser!"
Mount Holyoke Orchestra Mount Holyoke College Fundraising Success with CampusFundraiser

It seems like every year, it’s tougher to raise money for student groups. Bake sales, carnation sales and candygrams just don’t cut it anymore, leading to a lot of work and very little money. But when you’re toiling to get 30 group members on a 1500 mile tour, even tossing in member dues usually isn’t enough. Just ask Heather Correll at Mt. Holyoke College’s Orchestra – it’s the exact situation she faced this year.

“We had never made more than around $100 or 200 for each of our previous fundraisers, and we put so much work into them that it didn’t really feel like it paid off in the end” she told CampusFundraiser. “Even after donations and grants, we needed to raise a significant amount of money in a short amount of time to make all the plane and hotel reservation deadlines”. And since the group never needed to raise so much money in such a short period before, there was no track record to speak of and nobody with experience to draw upon.

But why choose CampusFundraiser? “I worked with CampusFundraiser last year when I was with the Cheerleading Squad, and we made a fast $1,800. Since this year I am more involved with the campus orchestra, I decided to bring it to this group and see how they do with it. Needless to say, it was even more successful than it was with the cheerleaders!”

“At first I was skeptical about the amount of profits CampusFundraiser said we could make in such a short time. I did some research and found they were indeed a legitimate organization with proven earnings results. No one I contacted had anything negative to say about them, and since it required no money from us, I figured we had nothing to lose.”

There was a lot about CampusFundraiser that impressed Heather and her friends. “If we had any problems, I could call them and they would answer all my questions. I especially liked how all potential problems were addressed before they had a chance of occurring, and their “no-excuses” policy about individual responsibilities within a group.”

Heather felt “as if CampusFundraiser was really rooting for us to make money” and they had “no ulterior motives behind the fundraiser” – powerful words in these cynical days. Since the orchestra only needed $1,500 to go towards their Florida tour, the extra money “will sponsor fun group activities, purchase additional music and fund our annual banquet.”

“CampusFundraiser is a great organization”, “The representatives are great to work with”, “It is SO easy for groups to participate” are but a few of Heather’s comments. And Heather – we’re looking forward to working with you again, too.

CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
