Quoteable Quote "It was an easy way to find a program that fit our abilities and could result in the amount of money we could use to help our fraternity grow."

Phi Delta Theta is a fraternity organized with three principle objectives: the cultivation of friendship, acquirement of mental culture, and attainment of a high standard of morality. It also has distinguished alumni such as actor Burt Reynolds, Pulitzer Prize winner William Allen White, and former U.S. President Benjamin Harrison. So when a group of students at the University of Pittsburgh were looking into joining a fraternity, they were very disappointed to find that the Phi Delta Theta, Pennsylvania Iota chapter had been defunct for over ten years.
So what does one do when the chapter they want to join is inactive? They bring it back, of course! However, the brothers knew that the task would require a lot of hard work as well as a lot of money. They needed to raise funds, and fast. The cost of charters, membership dues and fees, housing, promotional events and participating in school activities add up fast. In most fraternities, startup costs were paid years ago, and not as much promotion is necessary to get the fraternities name out. For the brothers of Phi Delta Theta, all of these costs hit them at once, and since college students don’t have an infinite amount of income, they needed to fundraise, or the fraternity would not get off it’s feet and grow.
That’s why they did the right thing and contacted a fraternity advisory board member, who led them to CampusFundraiser. When group leader Josh Krinock contacted CampusFundraiser, he says that “it was easy to find a program that fit our abilities and could result in the amount of money we could use to help our fraternity grow.”
“CampusFundraiser was helpful through constant feedback and simple instructions,” Josh adds. “My advisor gave us realistic expectations as well as the facts that helped our awareness.” In their fall fundraiser with CampusFundraiser, the brothers raised $1,334 in four hours to put towards their fraternity. This money disappeared quickly so they called CampusFundraiser again, and signed up again, as they had found that this was the best way for them to make a lot of money quick. Their second time around, they did even better, raising $2,270 in just three days! This brings the brothers of Phi Delta Theta’s total earnings to $3,604 with just two fundraisers. With this money, the brothers can afford to relax a little bit while they watch their new fraternity grow.
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
