The season for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights All-Girl Cheer team starts at NCA cheer camp, along with several practices a week, where they work on stunts, tumbling and game material.  But the moment of truth for the cheer team comes down to one thing - The NCA National Championships!  For the past 5 years the team has traveled down to Daytona, Florida to showcase their ‘mad skills’.

Not wanting to waste any time raising money for Nationals, team leader Deonna Baquero contacted CampusFundraiser. “We dealt with CampusFundraiser in the past, and knew we could make a lot of money quick and easy!” says Deonna. Not wanting to mess with success, the team worked hard to reach their goal.

And their hard work certainly paid off; the team earned a total of $1,355 with the mtvU Non-Sales Fundraiser. Deonna happily tells us, “We were able to raise a lot of money.” And of course the money will be used to “pay for nationals!”  The team is currently ranked number 2 in the country!
