“Very well put together” is the way John Schluender describes the CampusFundraiser program he and his brothers did recently at UND. He also notes “Every promise made by CampusFundraiser was promptly kept.”

It was the promise of a simple program that quickly raised lots of money that first appealed to John and Co. Big ideas need big funds, and the guys at Sigma Phi Epsilon were looking to build a new office for their Faculty Fellow. “This would allow us a place to study and to have an at-home environment in which to meet” he explains.

Without much traditional fundraising experience upon which to draw, the brethren needed that combination of effortlessness and results that comes with each of our programs. “To me it was simple: Set a goal; fundraise for 2-3 days; and make a lot of money.” The very definition of hassle free.

Now it’s true that SigEp members were at reluctant to work with an outside vendor. But the earnings potential the project held for the fraternity quickly warmed them up to the concept. Their overwhelming support showed with the final results, in which they raised several hundred dollars more than they originally anticipated.

Says John “All the tools necessary to have a successful fundraiser were there. After we saw the results from our first fundraiser, it sparked a drive within the chapter to redo our entire first floor. Now we have a state of the art multimedia room which houses classrooms and study sessions and a study room with Internet access.”

Always with an eye to the future, John is understandably optimistic. “Because of the positive experience we had working with CampusFundraiser, we formed a fundraising committee and plan on using CampusFundraiser in the very near future.”
