It’s autumn in Ohio and all you can think about is spring break in Florida. Not because of the drunken revelry at every doorstep (though that’s certainly a nice thought), but because that’s when spring training begins.
Holly Bruder and the gang on Denison’s softball team LIVE for spring training! All winter long they pine away, dreaming of newly mown grass, freshly painted white lines, and large men with bad breath yelling at them.
So it was a natural response to contact CampusFundraiser for help raising funds. With a background in T-shirt sales, football games and candy programs, Holly knew a quick and easy program when she saw one. And she saw one in our Family and Friends magazine fundraiser.
“Magazine sales are quick and easy and makes everyone do an equal share.” Holly says when asked why she chose this path. “And I liked working with CampusFundraiser’s people. They were always available when I called and got back to me quickly with answers to any questions.” Something else that pleased her was after the campaign was done “they didn’t bug us” trying to sell additional services or products that she and her teammates didn’t need.
Holly’s team got into selling magazines quickly – and out just as fast. They liked the low commitment level needed on their part, matched with CampusFundraiser’s high level of commitment to them. While they could have done without the umpires yelling at them – especially the one who eats onions for lunch – the team doesn’t feel they could have done without CampusFundraiser. “We raised 75% more money than we expected, and are delighted with the results.” Says Holly. That extra money will buy a lot of Cracker Jack during their week down south.
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
