Imagine the fundraising chair of your sorority leaves the country to study abroad and you are given the responsibility of taking over that role?  Well, that is exactly what happened to Elizabeth Tracy of Epsilon Kappa Tau. 

The life of a sorority member is full of stress with limited time to plan events, let alone relax.  As the new fundraising chair, Elizabeth needed to find ways to make money for her sorority and quick.  She and her sisters have done bake sales before, but only to raise a mere $100-200 each time.  Hoping to stray away from traditional fundraising methods the members of EKT participated in the Friends and Family Magazine Fundraiser and raised $1,700.00 in just 3 days!  To those who think this cannot be done, Elizabeth adds “this may look like a lot of work but it really is not.”  The members of EKT were able to successfully raise money on their own time without the hassle of finding a location and setting up.  “This is definitely an easy process and I would recommend it to anyone!”

The success of the fundraiser has led EKT to enroll in two more fundraising events through CampusFundraiser, and over the past four years, they have raised almost $7,000!  In doing this fundraiser, Elizabeth adds “I definitely plan on doing this again and with no start up costs you have nothing to lose!”
