When it’s winter in Minnesota, it’s easy to let your thoughts drift to the warmth of Hawaii. Especially when you’re a member of the Gustavus Adolphus Swim Team.
Strapped with a budget not liberal enough to take her group to the islands of the Aloha state for a training trip, team captain Kali Ofstehage set out in search of a CampusFundraiser program that was painless, efficient, and easy to get into and out of. She is very happy her research led her to the Family and Friends program.
“We had never done a fundraiser before” says Kali, helping to explain why ease of implementation was so critical for her. “I heard that they had an organized way of doing the whole process.”
“CampusFundraiser’s program was very well thought-out” she offers. “Everything was laid out very systematically, with easy-to-follow instructions.” This was critical, since “some of the group members did not think that it was possible to earn that much money.”
Once the pieces fell into place, though, Kali saw her team go for it with a vengeance. The results? A $3,200 addition to the group’s bank account speaks for itself.
As you can imagine, the money is now long-since spent. The trip to Hawaii, clothes, film, postcards and suntan lotion ate it all up. But somehow, the gang in St. Peter, Minnesota doesn’t seem to mind very much.
Ho`omaika`i!
