According to Theta Phi Alpha, their mission is "to create close comradeship, to advance educational, social and philanthropic interests and leadership training; to encourage spiritual development and adherence to the highest moral standards; and to promote lifelong bonds of friendship.”

So when Theta Phi Alpha needed money for their chapter and cash to pay bills, they decided that professionalism and organization were the way to go- and chose CampusFundraiser.. In the past they had sold donuts or t-shirts, held a few car washes, or worked at Chiefs or KU games. But when group leader Kathleen Novicky got a letter in the mail about CampusFundraiser she just had to try it. When asked about the experience Kathleen said, “It was a lot of work in a few hours but we managed to get it done.” She goes on to say “The [program specialists] from CampusFundraiser that came out to our school didn't let us stop until we had exceeded our goal.” And when asked about her 15 group members she says “most were pretty positive.”

Their hard work was well worth the effort, because after completing the mtvU fundraiser in just a few hours, Theta Phi Alpha was putting $1,238 towards their chapter and paying their bills.
