Which would you rather do?

·         Spend months soliciting door-to-door, hounding friends and family to raise $600; or

·         Park yourself at a table for three hours at a heavily-trafficked place on campus to raise $1,000.

The Rutgers Ultimate Frisbee Team figured they’d already spent months pestering everyone to buy imprinted discs, t-shirts and team hoodies, and knew there had to be an easier way to make money for the seven tournaments they planned to attend. So with one eye on their rising travel and tourney costs and the other eye on the calendar and their need to practice, they agreed to try a one-day event with CampusFundraiser.

 “Past events always required a bit capital investment” says group leader Ari Genauer. He smiles thinking about starting the CampusFundraiser program without any commitment by his team. CampusFundraiser, however, made a big commitment to them. “Our fundraising manager gave us great support from the very beginning. She made sure that everything was in line way before game-day. All we had to do was show up.” he says.

As for the group’s reaction to the whole process, Ari tells us “They were a little skeptical at first. But they had fun, made money, and then had even more fun with the money they made.” How much fun? “We traveled down to a tournament in Savannah, Georgia during spring break and were able to afford to rent a gorgeous beach house for the week.”
