Combine the right fundraising program with a good cause and sales can easily double what you’d planned. Just ask the Women’s Lacrosse Team at Vanderbilt University.
While planning a trip to Australia to compete in an international lacrosse tournament, team leader Jamie Paulson noticed a significant shortfall in their funding. The team had done all kinds of fundraisers before – car washes, raffles, and even bake sales – but usually had to put in way too much work for far too little payoff. Jamie responded to an ad in her college newspaper to see if the team could really make $1,000 or more. After speaking with a CampusFundraiser representative and talking it over with her team, Jamie chose CampusFundraiser’s Family and Friends magazine program because it was different from any other fundraiser they had seen.
Believing the experience would be thoroughly enjoyable, the 20 lacrosse players set out to raise $2,000 during a 3-day period. Their satisfaction started with CampusFundraiser’s organizing everything to make it run more efficiently, and grew as they saw sales take off.
Taking along the equipment, coaches and everything else needed to keep the team going is a huge undertaking. So even though they were delighted at doing better than they originally expected, Jamie is now planning their next program with CampusFundraiser.
NEXT STOP: AUSTRALIA!
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
