"Absolutely amazing! I found your organization a pleasure to work with, highly organized and professional."
Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity University of Maryland College Park Fundraising Success with CampusFundraiser

Picture this: You need to earn $1,200 for your senior retreat, and maybe for some much-needed house restorations. You earn $2,500. Now what are you supposed to do?

For Jared Kalmanson of University of Maryland’s Zeta Beta Tau, the problem used to be the total lack of fundraising done to actually benefit the fraternity. “Normally, any fundraising done is philanthropic in nature” he told us. And this is no surprise, when you consider the organization’s 50-year history of non-sectarian brotherhood. And that’s not even mentioning their foundation, which has awarded almost 3,000 scholarships totaling well over $1,000,000 in the past few years.

Then for the past two years there weren’t any fundraisers at all at ZBT House. But that was before Jared took over as vice president.

Still, even the most altruistic organization has certain basic needs that must be tended to. “We needed new benches and a picnic table outside” he starts down the list. “Then there was the basement table to replace. And, of course, the couch cushions were shot.”

So Jared spoke with some sorority friends who had used CampusFundraiser to solve their own financial woes, and set out to duplicate their success. “CampusFundraiser seemed to be the perfect thing we needed.” he recalls.

And though Jared’s brothers were into the idea, “Many didn’t believe we were going to be able to have the success we ultimately did.”

So here they are just a few weeks later holding a check for more than double their original goal!” They’ve bought all the stuff needed to fix up the house, and the rest is going towards the senior trip.

NEXT STOP: ATLANTIC CITY!

But Jared and his brethren know better than to gamble with their future fundraising efforts. “I was extremely happy with our results and the company’s honesty and professionalism from the outset.” says the UM sophomore now, “and I look forward to working with you guys again next year.”

In the interim, he’s also told his Greek Office and other IFC chapters about the CampusFundraiser program and has encouraged others to follow suit. We’re looking forward to helping them all satisfy their fundraising goals, too.

CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
