There are over 215,000 new victims of breast cancer in the US every year, according to the US Centers for Disease Control. So what could be more noble than raising money to aid in breast cancer research?
For the women of Lock Haven University’s Zeta Tau Alpha, there’s little that matters as much as this important cause. “We’re determined to raise money to help the fight against breast cancer” reports group leader Tristan Kramer. And determined hardly seems like an adequate description when you consider the number of car washes, cosmetics sales and “Can for Donations” programs they’ve run in the past.
But here’s the problem: “Other fundraisers are fun but you never really make more than a couple hundred dollars. I wanted to try something new compared to the traditional car washes and canning events.” Which meant it was time to turn to CampusFundraiser for a program that’s both enjoyable and profitable.
“This was a great experience!” Tristan tells us. “Your representatives were very helpful by keeping in close contact with me. They provided a lot of helpful tips which lead to our great success.”
But nobody likes to do fundraising, do they? “My group members were very excited about having the opportunity to make a large amount of money in such a small amount of time.” The results? After just a few hours of work, five members of the Zeta Nu chapter had earned almost $2,100.
That bears repeating. Five women earned $2,100 in four hours! And every dollar went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Indeed, these five women may have single-handedly been responsible for saving the life of someone you care about.
Zeta Tau Alpha seeks the noblest for their sorority. It’s quite obvious why these five women belong there.
CampusFundraiser can help your group successfully raise money too. Find out how.
